We have all been affected in one way or another by Ealing Councils dismal failure over the last two and a half weeks to collect our rubbish and recyclables in a timely manner.
Residents in Perivale, Hanwell, Greenford, Northolt and other parts of the borough have had to wait days and in some cases weeks to have their recyclables or kitchen food waste collected.
The service has improved now three weeks into the new £250m contract. Roads are seeing their rubbish collected on time in most areas now and recyclables too, however some roads appear not to have been swept as promised, but some have been swept twice.
The service is all over the place and trying to get answers out of the Leader of the council is almost as bad as waiting for your kitchen waste to be collected.
So the Conservative group in council has forced an emergency meeting which should be held on Tuesday the 8th of May. There will be no place for Cllrs Mahfouz and Bell to hide that night.
